Hops dominate the aroma with a resiny, citrus smell which comes from numerous late hop additions, Caramel and chocolate malts that give a velvety red colour, balance the heavy hopping of the beer giving it a balanced sweetness to bitterness ratio.

A long time Six String staple, this is a good honest red IPA. Easy drinking, perfect heading into the cooler months.

Just a great beer

Hoppy but a bit roasty too, with a good kick. I buy a lot of craft beer, but Six Strings' Dark Red IPA is quickly becoming my go-to. I'm a couple of cases in and I think at this point, the Dark Red IPA is just going to be a standard fixture in my bar fridge from now on.
